"Radiant Roots" - iMapp Bucharest 2024 / Winners League - Audience Award

"Radiant Roots" ist Projection Mapping created for the iMapp Festival 2024 in Bucharest.
Projected on the Palace of the Parliament, it’s the biggest Projection Mapping in the World. 23000 sqm, 64 Projector, 170.000 visitors made a massive impact to me and has always been a dream of mine.
On top of that, the lovely People of Bucharest vote my work for the Public’s Choice Award.
I still feel blessed to have been part of the iMapp Winners League and to have had the chance to use this building as a canvas.
Most of all I feel
RADIANT ROOTS explore the rich graphical vocabulary of global folklore and traditional patterns, highlighting the deep cultural roots that bind societies across the world. This project aims to emphasize that traditions and culture are the true essence of nations, transcending geographical borders. By showcasing the similarities in folklore graphics from various cultures, we will convey the message that humanity shares more commonalities than differences.
iMapp Bucharest is the biggest video mapping event in the world, the largest New Media display in Romania and in top 6 international 3D projections contests. Throughout the 8 editions, the festival brought together audiences of over 500,000 spectators and became a reference topic for specialists in the worldwide audiovisual industry.

I highly recommend taking the time watching Fullscreen with good audio for best experience.
